Hello– My name is Mestenapeau, everyone calls me Mesten

I am Ojibwe from Grassy Narrows First Nations. My mom was a victim of the sixties scoop which resulted in me being born and raised in the Ottawa area.

I am an Algonquin College graduate with an Advanced Diploma in animation. I am an aspiring animator with an interest in 2D/FX animation. I enjoy variety of traditional art mediums. I put sports aside so I could focus on my education.

 

Favourite pastimes include building model spaceships and land cruisers using Lego. Most models are built from of my favourite sci-fi movies such as Star Wars, The Mandalorian and some from video games such as Halo. I enjoy playing guitar and singing. When I am at home or traveling in a car, I can be heard singing along to what is playing on a nearby sound system.
